We need your help to enhance the riparian corridor of Spring Valley. We'll be working to remove invasive shrubs like bush honeysuckle, and replacing them with native trees and shrubs. This will be broken into two events, so if you're feeling especially charitable (or just want to enjoy the spring weather), we'd love to have you out for both!
The first event will take place on: Saturday, March 28th, 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
We will focus on removing honeysuckle and other invasive plant species, in preparation for new plantings. A native seed mix will be applied once the areas have been cleared of invasive species.
The second event for planting will be announced soon.
Before getting to work, we will meet along the walking path, just north of Maebelle Way, to brief participants on the project and give directions for the event. We'll provide necessary tools, but if you prefer using your own, feel free to bring them too! Remember to dress in layers in case it's still chilly out. We hope to see you there!
