MAD provides quality wetland and ecological consulting to clients in the public and private sectors. Clients include engineering and environmental consulting firms, universities, park districts, industries and municipal governments. Clients have come to rely on MAD Scientist Associates for full wetland services (delineation, permitting, mitigation and monitoring), stream characterizations and aquatic studies, ecological risk assessments, botanical surveys, threatened and endangered species and critical habitat surveys and other specialized ecological services.

Full Service Wetland Capabilites

MAD Scientist Associates, LLC worked in partnership with the City of Westerville to restore and enhance a currently established wetland. Our team guided Westerville through the permitting process as well as the design and implementation of the enhancement.

Ecological Bioassessments

MAD Scientist Associates was hired to conduct a comprehensive ecological assessment for a forest reserve in central Ohio. In order to produce a complete ecological characterization of the 40 acre site, a multi-angle approach was taken.

Biological Assessments

Our team completed an aquatic biological assessment that included the sampling of fish and macroinvertebrates along a reach of the Olentangy River in preparation for the replacement of the Panhandle Road bridge.

Stream Mitigation and Monitoring

MAD Scientist Associates, LLC was retained to complete and refine a stream mitigation concept and finish the permit process with Ohio EPA and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

Habitat Enhancement - Otterbein Lake

A group of central Ohio residents working with the Westerville Parks and Recreation Department collaborated to develop Otterbein Lake into a scenic, environmental, educational, and recreational resource for the community.
